Cookie & Local Storage Notice
The short version
This site runs no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, and no analytics of any kind. Nothing here needs a cookie consent banner, since the only third party that could ever set a cookie, YouTube, only loads once you actively click play on a video.
What we do store in your browser
The one thing this site saves in your browser is whether you picked light mode or dark mode. That preference lives in your browser's localStorage, stays on your device, and never reaches us or anyone else. It holds no personal information. It's purely functional, remembering how you like the site to look the next time you visit.
The contact form is the exception
Submitting our Contact form does send data to our third-party form processor, Web3Forms. Our Privacy Policy explains how that works. It's a one-time submission you choose to make, not something tracking you in the background.
Videos on the Media page
Our Media page shows a thumbnail and a play button for each video, not a live YouTube player. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you click play. Once you do, the video loads through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube (owned by Google) may then set its own cookies and collect playback data under its own privacy policy, not ours.
If this changes
Adding analytics or any other cookie- or tracking-based tool later means updating this notice and putting a real consent banner in front of it first. We won't slip that in quietly after the fact.
Managing your browser storage
You can clear your theme preference any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, or by browsing in private or incognito mode.
